A large KAYAPO PRESTIGE SCEPTRE
This remarkable Kayapo piece is distinguished by its triangular head with powerful lines, extended by a long shaft entirely sheathed in plant-based weaving of exceptional craftsmanship.
The simplicity of its silhouette, the balance of its proportions, and the richness of its weaving reflect the high level of craftsmanship of the Mebêngôkre artisans. The ancient bindings, some of which retain their original red color, attest to its age and history of use.
Beyond its primary function, this piece is a prestigious artifact embodying the authority and warrior tradition of the Kayapo.
