Artist: Roger Bennett
Set of three “Quadrille” nesting tables by G-Plan, England, circa 1965

An elegant set of three nesting tables in teak and afrormosia, the Quadrille model, designed by Roger Bennett for the renowned British manufacturer G-Plan, circa 1965.

Created during the golden age of British design, the Quadrille collection perfectly illustrates the influence of Scandinavian furniture on English design of the 1960s. Roger Bennett developed a remarkably modern design language in this collection, where the purity of the lines is combined with exemplary craftsmanship.

The set stands out for its architecturally designed base with slightly curved legs, whose sculptural openings create a sense of lightness while ensuring perfect stability. The teak tabletops, accented by a delicate molded edge, highlight the wood’s warm grain, while the frame made of afrormosia—a precious wood regularly used by G-Plan—lends the set a timeless elegance.

Designed to fit together with great precision, these three tables can be used together or separately as side tables. Their refined design perfectly illustrates the balance between functionality, simplicity, and craftsmanship that has earned G-Plan its international reputation.

The set retains its original G-Plan label, attesting to its authenticity.
