Solid Cherrywood Desk From The Second Half Of The 19th Century
A cherry wood center desk from the second half of the 19th century, of Sicilian origin. The front features five drawers: one central drawer and two smaller ones on either side—two on the right and two on the left. The top is made entirely of solid cherry wood, with the edge carved in the shape of an owl’s beak. The desk’s legs are also made of solid cherry wood, turned with a spindle-shaped design. The desk has been completely restored and is intact in every part; the only thing to note is that it originally lacked locks, but we have installed brand-new, antiqued ones, all of which are in perfect working order. Given its dimensions, the desk is well-suited for use even in small spaces.
