Important Mahogany Architect's Office – 1920

This architect's desk, dating from the 1920s, is a treasure trove of craftsmanship and design. Made from mahogany, it features a mitered frame refined by a bec de corbin, a feature that demonstrates the meticulous attention to detail paid by cabinetmakers of the time. Its two extensions, crafted in the same spirit as the top with brass pull rings, are upholstered in green imitation leather, providing an extensive and comfortable work surface. On either side, three deep, compartmentalized drawers allow for neat storage. The drawer fronts are embellished with rosewood and ebony fillets, adding a touch of sophistication. The original locks, with their brass entries and keys, are not only functional, but also decorative elements. The whole rests on four sheathed legs, finished with square wooden shoes, ensuring stability and durability. The interiors are in oak.
