A beautiful, large lantern with round blown-glass porthole (with small bubbles) that opens on a hinge, a flat, circular body resting on two rolled legs, and an interior designed for two candles, removable via a tin pull tab.
On side: two vents; above them, a smoke vent violin-shaped design made of lace-like sheet metal, topped with a bell, and a large double handle for wall mounting or carrying.
Back is missing; it was either a round glass panel or a silver-plated iron plate serving as a reflector.
