Louis XIV Period Mail Box, Tortoiseshell Parchment, Good Condition

Here is pretty wooden box covered with mottled parchment to recall tortoise shell, small slightly domed correspondence box, interior lined with an old checkered canvas (probably 19th century). Turned brass handle on lid, superb openwork and crowned brass lock entry, two beautiful hooks of same metal, lock in working order. (the key works but is 19th).
It is a Louis XIV period box, late 17th century, and its leather trim has not suffered too much, pretty color and good condition.
Inside trim a little dirty.
