Mahogany Coffee Table, Louis XVI Style – 2nd Half Of The 19th Century
This small oval coffee table, crafted from mahogany and mahogany veneer in the refined style of Louis XVI, captivates with its harmonious proportions and the quality of its materials. Its top is adorned with luminous, delicately veined white Carrara marble (with visible restoration), framed by a finely crafted openwork brass band that highlights its precious character. The apron features a discreet, perfectly integrated drawer, fitted with a small brass knob that adds an extra touch of sophistication. The piece rests on four elegantly turned tapered legs, typical of the neoclassical aesthetic, connected by a crossbar surrounded by a molded brass band that echoes the piece’s decorative motifs and reinforces its balanced appearance. A centerpiece that is as decorative as it is functional, it embodies the timeless charm of 19th-century furniture and brings a touch of distinction and refinement to any interior.
