This 19th century mahogany and burl mahogany veneer coffee table is a superb example of the Louis XVI style. This style, characterized by its elegance and symmetry, is perfectly reflected in this piece of furniture. The chest of drawers opens with three drawers decorated with gilded brass pull rings. It is topped with white Carrara marble surrounded by baguettes on the sides and back. The fluted uprights are typical of the Louis XVI aesthetic. This piece of furniture rests on tapered legs finished with brass sabots.
