Dutch Miniature Chest Of Drawers With Inlay, Circa 1790–1800
Small Dutch miniature chest of drawers with three drawers and a drop-down top, circa 1790–1800. The frame is veneered in mahogany and decorated with floral marquetry in stained wood. The undulating top features a central shell-shaped motif surrounded by foliage and flowers. The drawer fronts, sides, and crossbar are also decorated with inlaid floral motifs.
Beneath the drop-down lid is an interior compartment divided into four compartments. The brass pull handles, lock, and key are original.
