A Louis XIV-style game table from the Napoleon III period, made of blackened wood and richly decorated with gilded bronze ornaments.
The rectangular tabletop is inlaid with a checkerboard pattern for chess.
It rests on four tapered legs adorned with rich gilt-bronze motifs,
terminated by large acanthus-leaf feet.
The open top is covered with green felt.
Very good condition.
