A beautiful oval brass snuffbox, hammer-mounted, clearly showing (inside) the fine handwork of coppersmith.
Soap shaped, , little wear on engraving, which is popular but rich.

Lid with coats of arms of cities and provinces, Dutch patriotic themes.
Bottom has 3 engraved medallions: centre, a view of Amsterdam with a large lion,
on the either sides, grotesque head illusionist profile, so we see four different faces: popular humor.
Beautiful proportions, harmonious: 11cm x 6.5cm x 3cm.
