Beautiful domed case, France, 17th century, elongated octagonal shape covered from burgundy calfskin, exterior entirely gold decorated by small irons, it opens with two hinges, releasing a central leaf covered from leather in which was probably embedded a precious watch pendant of which one could therefore see the two sides, without the object leaving safety of the two solid shells…
Dimensions = 8cm x 6cm x 3.5cm Good general condition, a little wear on both sides.
