Jarlet From The Hoi An Shipwreck (15th Century)
Small Vietnamese porcelain jarlet (porcelain stoneware) salvaged from the 15th century shipwreck off the coast of Hoi An (Vietnam).
The wreck, excavated by archaeologists in 1997-98 gave rise to major sales by Butterfields in October and December 2000 in San Francisco and Los Angeles.
It has three handles and is in perfect condition, with a satin glaze still shining.
