AFrench government grant in 1950 enabled him to move to Paris, where he rediscoveredhis French roots and rubbed shoulders with artists such as Pignon, Messagier and Picasso, evolving over the years from expressionist figuration to abstractionto an abstraction in which the figure is nonetheless underlying, and which can be foundin many international museums.
This painting comes from Paul Facchetti, the Parisian photographer and gallery owner who organized numerous exhibitions for him.
Indicates that, as spring was slow in coming this year, he decided to take that matters into his own hands and do it himself !
