Very beautiful glazed Indian with leaf semis and woodblock printing of leaves, yellow, blue superimposed for the green on a Ramoneur, eggplant background (obtained in vegetable dyeing by mixing indigo and red). Most probably made by a famous Alsatian manufacturer in the late 18th century. The assembly (or transformation) is from the second half of the 19th century, with cuts at the collar and cuffs. Cream cotton chintz lining and front fastening hooks. A charming object with a touching authenticity! Clean camisole with no holes or stains.
Dimensions: size 34 equivalent, 13-year-old girl. Height 39 cm, shoulders 31 cm, sleeves 47 cm, chest 78 cm, waist 63 cm.
