Large early 19th century painting representing the allegory of Cleopatraand the pearl , size 79/98 cm and 105 by 122 with frame . Signed C.Dufaur lower right and dated 1830, I found several magnificentpaintings by this artist in châteaux in the Bordeaux region.resold, this one had been hanging in the same place forfor 200 years, which explains its perfect condition.restoration (except for a recent cleaning and relacquering) and the frame with its original gilding in gold leaf.that the frame is very thick and very heavy, almost 30 kg , prestigeobliges!
