Large Icon Triptych Of Christ, Mary And St John, Enameled Bronze, 18th C. Russia Old Believers

Very large and beautiful Russian travel triptych in blue and white enameled bronze, dating from the second half of the 18th century.
Old believers school.

It consists of three folding panels, making it easy to take it with you when traveling.

This type of iconographic subject is called Deisis or Intercession. In the center is the "Almighty" Christ, flanked on the left by the Virgin and on the right by Saint John the Baptist. Mary and St. John, heads bowed in prayer, both intercede with Christ to save mankind.

Very good overall condition, with superb patina and fully detailed figures. A few small chips to the enamel.
