Regency period salon chest of drawers in Rio rosewood marquetry veneer.
This piece of furniture retains its drooping draw handles and original keyways.
The apron and sabots of the lower jambs are later.
The five locks are Regency period.
All the doors are original.
All drawer bottoms and sides are made of solid walnut.
The fluting separating the drawers is period, as are the rounded uprights, which have also retained their original brass fluting.
The top is topped with original Royal Red marble, molded with a wide corbel beak.
This elegant commode, with its sober lines and curved front, is presented in a very fine state of preservation.
