World War I French Adrian Medical Helmet
Adrian helmet of the French medical service of the First World War. A fine example retaining over 95 % of its original 'bleu horizon' paintwork on the steel shell. Large 'Le Service de Santé' badge on front. Original, second-model black leather inner cap, secured by corrugated aluminum spacers and a 'bleu horizon' band. The helmet also retains its leather chinstrap, which shows a small repair.
Note:
This 'Le Service de Santé' badge was adopted in August 1915, when the War Ministry recommended the distribution of this helmet to doctors and nurses.
