Two soft porcelain plates from the Manufacture Royale de Sèvres with flower decor.
Beautiful relief-molded form of stylized petals inspired by Chinese forms. This form is one of the few relief decorations dared by Sèvres in the 18th century, along with other more common ones such as "à osier", "à bouquets" and "à groseilles".
Decorated with a variety of flowers on the background and marli.
One has a gilded border that is erased on the other.
For one: date letter M for 1765, painter's mark W for Vavasseur aîné, painter of flowers (1753-1770).
For the other: letter date M for 1765, painter's mark P' possibly for Pierre jeune, flower painter 1763-1800.
Diameter: 25cm
Good overall condition, no cracks, wear to decoration.
