Gilded decoration of King Louis-Philippe's cypher in gold within a wreath of laurel and oak leaves, the upper border adorned with a frieze of ivy leaves in gold, gold fillets on the rims.
Manufacture royale de Sèvres, 1835.
Dated blue stamp mark and red mark of the Château des Tuileries.
Good condition, wear to gilding, small chip to back of heel.
The service des Princes was Louis-Philippe's second table service, just after the service du Roi. It was reserved for semi-official meals, the more intimate dinners of the royal family, as well as the stays of princes and distributed in the main royal residences.
