It includes 39 original woodcuts out of the 40 advertised, with one plate missing.

The engravings themselves are in generally good condition, with no notable stains or significant alterations.
The sheets of tracing paper protecting the plates, on the other hand, are often creased, split or weakened by age, which is common on this type of antique portfolio.

The cover and slipcase also show signs of use and wear from the period, visible in the photographs.
The set remains, however, highly decorative and sought after by collectors of colonial art, Indochina and illustrated books of the 1930s.
