Large yardage of appliqué lace from England (late 19th century), with bobbin decoration applied to machine-made tulle. Various small filling stitches are executed with a needle. The off-white color is even throughout, with no obvious differences in tone. Solid lace in perfect condition, having never been used. In order to rid it of minor dirt and dust accumulated over time, and without altering its quality or hue, it has been suitably soaked.
