Chantilly Lace In Grenadine Silk Thread - Extra Long 4.50m - Napoleon III Period

Chantilly lace in extremely light and fine grenadine silk thread (late 19th century). This long, wide flounce features a design combining bouquets, cascading wisteria sprigs, a frieze, and a wide, notched scalloped border. Its fullness and height make it ideal for restoring elements of antique costumes such as slips, crinolines, lace rotundas, etc. It shows no signs of weakness under tension or discoloration; however, some signs of age are present, as detailed below. The overall quality is very high.

Condition: Note: a join in the middle of the length, two small triangular patches (approximately 3 cm), two round patches (approximately 1.5 cm), various reinforcing threads between the loops, a few loose threads scattered throughout the background (a small number), and three minor imperfections at the indentation. The lace is not fuzzy, sun-faded, or discolored.
