Superb and rare Italian ceramic albarello with plai fire polychrome decoartion.
SAVONA 17th cty
The shape of the medicine pot is typical from 17th cty period, composed of 4 registers, a pedestal, and a central right section bearing gothic inscription "PELEGRINO" framed by 2 sections with domed bulges decorated with floral wreaths of drapery alternated with masks of grotesques and drapery falls
The upper part has a circulare reserve with a coat of arms, standing lion brandishing crossed key and a tool (?) , surronded by 3 white lys flower on blue background

Original faience craquelure and enamel bleeds, small chip at foot, no missing or restored
