Kadjar Handled Cauldron, Tinned Copper, Iran, 19th Century, Engraved Friezes, Mandorles And Animals

Large chased tin-plated copper cauldron or handled vase from Iran, Persia, 19th century.
Born under the Kadjar dynasty, this object is in very good condition.
The antique tin plating gives a finish close to silver.

The deep chasing represents numerous polylobed medallions decorated with hares and gazelles.

The deep chasing features numerous multi-lobed medallions decorated with hare and gazelle motifs.
A fine, flowery Greek motif surrounds the top of the object, while a frieze surrounds the bottom.
Two very thick bronze arrowhead attachments support the handle, also in bronze.
Note the narrowing of the body in the upper part which gives a real cachet to this quality piece.
