Riding Republican Guard troop helmet, model from 1907 modified between 1927 and 1933, and made here under the Fifth Republic.
A helmet made entirely of nickel-plated steel, consisting of a bomb, a visor and a nape-cover, both encircled by a brass rim folded astride the outer edge, a headband, two chinstraps, a crest, a mane of black mane approximately 100 cm long, and a pencil holder.
All fittings are brass. Bomb, one-piece deep-drawn, pierced on the inside with suction cup holes for ventilation. Brass headband embossed in relief with two laurel branches tied together by a ribbon to which is attached a Légion d'Honneur awarded to the City of Paris on October 9, 1900; and the Croix de Guerre 1918, in the center the arms of the City of Paris surmounted by a banner bearing the inscription "FLUCTUAT NEC MERGITUR". H of front banner 7.5 cm.
Crest composed of two fins embossed in relief with a decreasing series of gadroons surrounded by a pearled ribbon and separated from each other by an acanthus leaf and a finial. The top of the crest is covered at the front with a "cover plate" depicting the hair of a jellyfish head in relief.
Crest ornament consisting of a brass olive embossed with foliage, a socket and a scarlet horsehair aigrette. Chinstraps consist of two chin straps in strong cowhide covered with black waxed morocco, each covered with brass scales alternately festooned with two or three scallops and stapled to the leather. Square-section pen-holder. Inner leather cap cut into wolf's teeth. With its plumet and metal olive.
Pair of white synthetic gloves. Cuff in strong bleached leather.
Tunic in black wool and polyester cloth, straight collar in bottom cloth fastened with three steel clasps, collar tabs in fine black cloth cut in brace at front, flaming bomb embroidered in gold piping and sequins. Closing right by means of 7 large gold buttons stamped with the arms of the city of Paris and Garde Républicaine. Epaulet attachments in gold passementerie. Above the sleeve cuffs, rank braids in Hungarian-stitch gold passementerie. Madder cloth tabs perpendicular to the sleeve cuffs, highlighted by three small-module buttons. Two false pockets at the bottom of the tunic with brace tabs, highlighted by 4 uniform buttons. Black synthetic lining. Manufacturer's label.
Pants in white fleece fabric, cuffs with Velcro fastening. With its own belt.
Whitened buffalo double-edged saber belt, whitened buffalo saber suspension loop. Brass buckle. Rectangular-shaped plate with cut corners, decorated in the center with the Arms of the City of Paris.
Giberne-Cartouchière, type model 1889.
Rectangular-shaped, in blackened waxed leather. Stamped brass flaming bomb on the front, studs on the side for the streamer's snap hooks. The outside of the band is made of bleached buffalo. Embossed lion's head and escutcheon trim, joined by three chains. Interior divided into three compartments.
Dragonne in bleached leather, consisting of a tassel made from a piece of leather rolled and slashed into strips, a runner and a strap.
Pair of cavalry boots in supple black patent leather, with rigid upper part. Nickel-plated brass spurs, complete with ankle straps. Size 37
