Manufacture Nast, Paris. Circa 1830 . Monogrammed Coffee Cup
Artist: Nast
The Nast factory in Paris had existed since the 17th century, supplying prestigious pieces to the European courts and the bourgeoisie.
At the death of the founder, in 1817, the factory was taken over by his sons, but in 1835 the land and buildings were sold to the city of Paris and production ceased.
It is likely that this pretty cup, with its elegant simplicity, belongs to the latter period.
Monogrammed HM in Gothic, it is strictly in perfect condition.
Markings under the cup (illegible) and under the saucer.
