The height of mortars generally does not exceed 5 cm. Circular in shape with a half-spherical bottom, flared with a rounded base. It rests on a slight heel. It was used to crush a very small quantity of powder or makeup paste with a small pestle. White background with gilding decoration called "CATHEDRAL" of arcades and rosettes, on a grand feu blue background. Gold threads on the edges. Dimensions: High. 4 cm - Diam. 5 cm, Condition: VERY GOOD CONDITION - Tiny chip repaired on the edge (recovery invisible to the eye), Period: EARLY 19th century (CIRCA 1830), Observation(s): tiny wear from use.
