The sculptural silhouette, influenced by Japonism, features organic contours and controlled deformations reminiscent of the segmented structure of bamboo. The glass, in a warm smoky hue, is enriched with polychrome inclusions and internal nuances creating effects of depth and light characteristic of early French art glass, and reflects the influence of Japonisme in early French art glass.
