Prunus Under The Snow. Watercolor On Paper. Hanging Scroll. China 20th Century.
A prunus in bloom is boldly painted on a roll of paper. It's springtime, and the flowers are bright red, though a thin layer of late snow partly covers them. Artist's stamp and a few painted Chinese characters. Good condition. We don't know who the painter was, but the work is Chinese from the second half of the 20th century, the "3 stars" period (60-70). Dimensions of scroll: 136x54cm. Painting alone: 90x42cm. The frame is in woven silk. Good condition.
