Cherry Box Engraved By Legras With Solid Minerva Silver Mounting, Circa 1900, Daum Era
Artist: Legras
Charming covered jar or box decorated with engraved cherries with solid silver mounting by Legras.
Very fine quality for this beautiful object with cherry decoration on the glassware, fully acid-cleared and finely enameled on top
The granite of the glassware is recognizable. The colors are bright and cheerful. The mounting is in silver, Minerve hallmark on each part, with the goldsmith's stamp (illegible). I'm inclined to think it's by Victor Saglier, but I can't say for sure, so it remains open. The lid is decorated with cherry blossoms.
The work is very fine, truly remarkable glassware.
Perfect condition, circa 1900, 13 cm high
Small jewel of glassware.
