An exceptional and rare "Dragonflies at Sunset" vase by the Muller brothers in Lunéville.
Collectors will immediately recognize the beauty and rarity of this vase, the last remaining example of which was not offered for sale until 2013. The dragonflies (there are three of them) are acid-etched and very finely glazed (note the delicacy of the wings).
The theme is very poetic, featuring a sunset in the background with vivid blues, yellows, and reds against an orange backdrop. Truly an exceptional vase in every respect—I’ll let you be the judge.
The piece is in perfect condition, 36 cm tall, signed on the side, and can be dated to around 1925.
