Regency Style Carved Giltwood Console With White Marble Top - 19th Century
Carved and gilded wood console table in the Regency or Louis XV transition style, with a white marble top. The belt is adorned with a network of lozenges, a central mascaron with an expressive mask framed by flowers and foliage, and leafy scrolls on the sides. The scrolled console legs are articulated around an openwork shell and acanthus leaf crotch.
