Beautiful Louis XVI-style mahogany transformable game table with gilt brass fillets and borders. It stands on four fluted spindle legs with ormolu rings and sabots.
What makes this piece special is its versatility. In appearance a simple drawer table, it actually hides three different uses.
The top tray opens and swivels to reveal a green felt gaming mat, perfect for cards or backgammon. Turning it over reveals a brown synthetic-coated desk pad accompanied by two crystal inkwells, transforming the table into a lady's desk. And lifting this tray reveals a storage box with dividers, closed by a beveled mirror lid.
.The waisted drawer is fitted with a chased bronze ring handle.
