Very large Louis XVI style mirror in wood and stucco gilded with gold leaf. The finely carved frame is adorned with delicate twists. The upper part, in the shape of a gendarme's hat, is decorated with a floral garland topped with a bow and a crown of flowers, motifs typical of the Louis XVI style. The upper corners are decorated with cuts carved with ears of corn, while the base features beautiful leafy scrolls. The original mirror, made of mercury glass, is beveled.
