Georges Huet (1860-1935) exhibited at the Salon des Artistes Français. He was curator of the Musée d'Orléans (Loiret), devoting a room to his studies (sources: Bénézit dictionnaire des peintres et sculpteurs).
Our painting is part of a series of neo-impressionist landscapes the artist produced in Picardy at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries (to be compared with an oil on panel 29 X 45.5 cm Bord de mer à Cayeux passed under the Ader hammer on 27/10/2023).
Framed in wood and patinated plaster. A few minor accidents that do not interfere with the proper reading of the painting. Good condition.
