Very Big Dish With Coat-of-arms : "château De Toussicourt"
Spectacular "Château de Toussicourt" coat-of-arms dish: enameled, gilded and painted porcelain, diameter 47 x depth 6.5 cm.
Perfect condition.
Château de Toussicourt porcelain is in fact a 20th-century Chinese production with a brand name and decorations designed to appeal to a European clientele - a "20th-century India Company", as it were.
Our dish is a perfect example: girdled by a marli with engraved flowers outlined in thick blue enamel, after a flat decorated with blue florets, the center is decorated with a more or less fanciful coat of arms, with two "marquis" coats of arms surmounting a count's coat of arms "de gueules au lion d'or armé".
The castle mark on the back is accompanied by a signature in Chinese characters.
Do not hesitate to ask us for photos or further information by e-mail or telephone.
