Artist: Ryuzan 龍山
Circular bowl on a short foot, decorated in polychrome and gold enamels, features a multitude of butterflies on the inner wall and a mille-fleurs type decoration on the outer wall. A gold lacquer mark under the base in a cartouche on a black background, Ryuzan. Very fine crackle of the paste, proof of the high quality of the earthenware, visible under the base. Period: Meiji (1868-1912). Diameter: 12.5cm. Height: 5cm.
