Bartak : "sea Formed By Sailboats"
Bartak (Czech school circa 1930) : "Sea formed by sailboats", oil on canvas 55 X 79 cm, unframed. If the temptation to identify the painter with Ludvik Bartak (1857-1921) is great (some auctioneers have also done so), I find that the style does not correspond too much and the date seems to me a little more recent. . Still, this seascape with translucent waves crossed by the pale rays of a sun emerging from the clouds is lively and very decorative.
