Giuseppe d'Aste (1881-1945): "Hen and chicks pecking", bronze with medal patina 12.5 X 16 X 9 cm plinth on green marble (14.5 X 18 X 11 cm base included), signed and annotated " bronze” on the back, circa 1920. It is indisputably one of my oldest objects: bought when I was just starting out, my mum thought it was too pretty to sell and had pre-empted it!
