Marcel Bouissou (1916-2007) : “Still Life with cello”, oil on canvas 65 x 92 cm, mounted in a silver frame 73 x 100 cm. Signed and dated 1943. This Still Life, characteristic of post-cubist Art-Deco, is attractive in its arrangement of details, cello and bow, metronome, sheet music and books, olive branches (symbol of an expected peace) , jug and apple.
