English Triptych Mirror In Mahogany And Marquetry, Circa 1900, Sheraton Style
Beautiful Sheraton-style triptych mirror, English manufacture of the late 19th or very early 1900's.
This mirror is in mahogany and features two projections forming Corinthian columns.
The antique-style cornice features rudentine marquetry under which a neoclassical frieze imitates marquetry. This technique was very often used for this style in this period.
The three mirrors are beveled and all show some oxidation around their edges (see detail photos).
The set is in very good overall condition and extremely elegant.
Fastening system present on the back (two small metal plates for hanging).
