Two small gilt bronze sculptures with a remarkable patina, of Italian origin. The female figures, with their dynamic and elegant poses suggesting movement, outstretched arms, and slightly inclined torsos, are highly expressive. Their characteristics, dimensions, and arrangement strongly suggest that they were originally ornamental elements, perhaps finials adorning a piece of furniture such as a chest or wardrobe. They are currently mounted on modern methacrylate bases.
