Large Silver-plated Openwork Bowl, Dechamps Frères Silverware
Very fine large, slightly hollow bowl on silver-plated pedestal, Dechamps Frères goldsmith's work, vintage 20th century, circa 1930-1960. Beautiful circular form with particularly refined geometric openwork decoration on the rim and rim. The piece rests on a matching central base providing a balanced and elegant silhouette. It bears two square hallmarks "12GR" and "DF" accompanied by a rooster's head. A very similar model was notably issued for the House of Dior; it is possible that this piece is from that production or a close model, although the central pastille usually marked is not present here.
29cm diameter for 6.8cm height. Very good overall condition of the silver plating, with no missing parts, only a few discreet scratches on the bottom and rim, slight traces of patina as well as a fine veil of superficial micro-scratches related to cleaning. Weight approx. 250-350gr.
