The vessel features a phoenix-head spout and a dragon-form handle, creating a distinctive and balanced composition.

Decoration is in the Kutani aka-e palette with iron-red ground, gilding, and kachō-ga reserves of birds and flowering branches.

Marked 九谷 to the base, indicating it was made in Kutani.
