Early 19th Century Pair Of Empire Porcelain Vases

Elegant pair of Paris porcelain vases. The vases are chalice-shaped, with a square base, ribbon handles, and an everted rim. Both are gilded, adding further elegance, with painted vegetal scrollwork decorations and the depiction of four figures on each side. The figures, two men and two women, respectively, are dressed in traditional French folk dress. This pair of vases exudes great taste and refinement, adding a touch of class and antiquity to any setting. There are slight fading in the gilding. French manufacture from the Empire period, circa early 19th century.
