Very nice pair of Caucasian Maffrash fragments from Azerbaijan.
Sumak wool-on-wool technique.
This pattern is very special, not appearing in any of the reference works in my possession. Both the motifs and the saturated vegetal hues make these pieces absolutely remarkable.
We'll also be interested in the condition of each piece, in very good condition for pieces around 150 years old.
