At the centre stands a male figure identifiable as Poseidon, depicted in a dynamic stance, holding his attribute and surrounded by secondary figures. The composition unfolds around this central scene and is complemented by an animated border populated with figures, animals, and decorative motifs, inspired by Renaissance models.

The deeply worked relief offers a lively and detailed reading of the scene, enhanced by the play of light across the chased surfaces.
