This Baroque painting depicts the nobility of society in front of a castle, ready for the hunt. It was executed in the early 18th century and has been attributed to the entirely identical composition and period of creation by the famous Flemish painter Ferdinandus Saeys or Jacob Ferdinand Saeys (1658 - after 1726). Saeys specialized in architectural paintings depicting gallant enterprises amidst imaginary Renaissance and Baroque palaces and buildings.
